I have leather jackets in my closet that date to the 1960's. Leather jackets have been my odds-on favorite wardrobe item for as long as I can remember with the possible exception of cowboy boots. I've wanted to make leather jackets for years. When you see it, you will know it - that's what I always told myself in my tireless search for the right leather. One day I received a leather swatch from an acquaintance in England. It had that buttersoft feel while retaining the right degree of ruggedness. At that point I knew it was time to make some jackets.
This washed sheepskin jacket makes up very light in weight - it's almost like wearing a sport coat. It goes nicely from town to country. Best worn with your favorite pair of jeans, khakis or gabardine trousers. Slightly darker seam edges give the jacket the appearance of not being new out of the box. The body of the jacket and pocket flaps are fully lined in the Col. Littleton trademark cotton plaid. Acetate sleeve lining. Storm latch tab. 3-button front. Belted bi-swing back with center vent. Inside chest pocket.
There's no way I can tell you how good this jacket feels. Fair warning . . . when wearing it, you suddenly become very huggable. Hope that won't be a problem. Imported in brown. Professionally leather clean. Sizes M (38-40), L (42-44), XL (46-48), XXL (50-52).
